New Delhi: In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, a husband slaughtered his wife with a sharp instrument while trying to gain the power of magic and sorcery. According to Indian media reports, in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, a husband killed his wife with a sharp instrument for magic (tantra mantra) and worship and then brought the body to the road.

The ruthless husband made strange gestures while sitting some distance away from the body. This went on for several hours, during which a sensation spread in the whole area and the residents of the area gathered there. Residents of the area informed the police about the incident after which the personnel of the concerned police station reached the spot and took the body into custody and shifted it to the hospital. Police also arrested the accused on the spot.

According to police officials, an investigation has been launched to find out the real motives and cause of the murder. Authorities said the arrested man was identified as 40-year-old Kamlesh, a resident of Vallipur village in Hardoi district. According to authorities, Kamlesh brutally killed his wife Kanti by slitting her throat. The accused told the police that he spends most of his time learning pooja and magic. Recently, he got into a fight with his father to get more power and then cut off his finger. After his father left, he married his wife. Locked him in the room and then cut the throat.
